3D Mammography (Breast Tomosynthesis)

Breast tomosynthesis is an FDA-approved 3D technology that helps our physicians detect smaller tumors sooner. It’s an exciting technology that allows better visualization of the tissue inside the breast, which helps identify problems caused by overlying dense tissue. Recent studies have demonstrated that adding a 3D mammogram (breast tomosynthesis) to a 2D mammogram provides more detailed information.
