James Troyer, MD, is a board-certified hospitalist at Kelsey-Seybold. After earning his Master of Public Health at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine at International American University in Saint Lucia in 2019. Dr. Troyer completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mercyhealth GME Consortium in Rockford, Illinois, in 2023, going on to complete a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2024. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in July 2024.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Troyer cares for patients in the hospital setting, whether for acute or chronic conditions. He coordinates care during each patient’s hospital stay and ensures they receive follow-up care after discharge. Dr. Troyer’s clinical interests include inpatient care for those diagnosed with cancer.
