After graduating from Ohio State University in 1997, Dr. Williamson completed his Internal Medicine internship at Ohio State University in 1999. In 2000, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After completing his residency, Dr. Williamson was in private practice in the Dallas area for two years prior to moving to Houston. He began working for Kelsey-Seybold on July 29, 2002 at the Kingwood location and practiced there for seven years prior to transferring to the Main Campus in 2009.
Awards & Publications
Dr. Williamson has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
In addition, Dr. Williamson has been recognized for providing outstanding cardiovascular and stroke care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) Heart/Stroke Recognition Program. Recognition through the Heart/Stroke Recognition program is achieved as the result of a comprehensive, individualized review process that verifies a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease or who have had a stroke.

When he’s not caring for his patients, Dr. Williamson enjoys cycling, traveling and reading.
