After earning her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in 1993, Dr. Lai interned at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 1996, she completed her residency in Baylor’s Physical Medicine and rehabilitation program before accepting a fellowship at The University of North Carolina with a focus in Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Dr. Tammy Lai has been recognized with a prestigious national recognition for excellence in providing patients with superior back pain care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The NCQA Back Pain Recognition Program (BPRP) was designed to improve the quality of care to the nearly 30 million Americans who experience low back pain and motivate other clinicians and chiropractors to document and improve their delivery of spine care.
