Sumana Basu, MD, FAAFP, MBA, earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in 2015. She then completed the Memorial Hermann Family Medicine Residency Program in 2018. Dr. Basu also holds an MBA with a focus in Healthcare Administration from Texas Women's University. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in February 2024.
Patients see Dr. Basu for acute issues like a sports injury, cough and cold, and rashes. She also treats chronic issues like hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis, obesity, and thyroid issues. She also sees patients of all ages for wellness and preventive visits. In her practice, Dr. Basu provides patients with the latest management and treatment plans backed by medical evidence. Her favorite part about practicing medicine is getting to know her patients and seeing them achieve their healthy lifestyle goals.
