Sebastian Scobercea, M.D., earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry at Northwestern University in 1992. In 1996, he received his medical degree at Loyola University of Chicago-Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Scobercea completed his residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Family Medicine. Prior to moving to Texas, he worked for eight years as a family physician in Illinois.

Dr. Scobercea has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Hobbies & Interests
When Dr. Scobercea is not caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing golf, traveling and playing in the Celebration Orchestra at his church.
