Dr. Sandra Rajan completed her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Houston in Texas in 2014. She completed her Doctor of Optometry in 2018 at the University of Houston College of Optometry followed by a fellowship in clinical teaching with an emphasis in ocular disease/public health with the university. She then went on to complete a residency in ocular disease/primary care in 2020 at the Albuquerque Indian Health Center in New Mexico. Dr. Rajan is certified by the Texas Optometry Board as an optometric glaucoma specialist. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2021.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Rajan enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, video games, and spending time with family and friends.

Fun Facts

Dr. Rajan loves to travel. She says the most beautiful hike she’s done so far is Ice Lake Basin in Colorado, which “feels like middle Earth!”

Ice cream is Dr. Rajan’s guilty pleasure. “It can be snowing outside and I will still want ice cream.”

As a kid, she wanted to be an astronaut or NASA scientist when she grew up “because space is so limitless and fascinating, with so much more to explore!”
