After earning her medical degree from Makerere University in Uganda in 1986, Dr. Nakyonyi-Ntwatwa completed her Family Medicine internship and residency at Texas Tech University in 2004.
Awards & Publications
Dr. Nakyonyi-Ntwatwa has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Nakyonyi-Ntwatwa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going to the movies, working out at the gym and learning about different cultures.
