Michael Wu, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2014. From there, he went on to complete both his internship and residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Dr. Wu also went to Johns Hopkins University to complete a fellowship in 2019. He also completed the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology, which demonstrates competency in musculoskeletal ultrasound and promotes quality of care. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2024.
Inspired to practice medicine by his mother, who battled cancer early in his life, Dr. Wu understands the importance of medicine and knowing when to seek help. As a Rheumatology physician, Dr. Wu sees patients for conditions affecting the joints, muscles, and bones. This includes swollen joints, gout, vasculitis, myositis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. He approaches patient care from a collaborative yet evidence-based focus and enjoys seeing his patients improve with treatment and continuity of care.
