Cyrus Ahmad Iqbal, MD, is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, completing his medical degree in 2018. He remained at Baylor College of Medicine to complete his internship and Internal Medicine residency in 2019 and 2021, respectively. Dr. Iqbal also completed a Hematology and Oncology fellowship there in 2024 before joining Kelsey Seybold in September 2024.
Dr. Iqbal is a second-generation hematologist/oncologist who credits his becoming a physician to his mother, having seen the tremendous impact she had on her own patients. In the same way that he saw her care for and develop meaningful interactions with patients, Dr. Iqbal strives to provide compassionate care for a wide range of conditions. These include non-cancerous blood disorders as well as a variety of cancers, including those of the blood and those of solid organs such as the breast, colon, lung, prostate, and more. In his practice, Dr. Iqbal enjoys how rapidly treatment options evolve, producing ground-breaking options like molecularly targeted treatments. He also enjoys the combination of scientific problem-solving and the fulfillment of guiding patients on a human level.
