After completing medical school at the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2005, Dr. Sutherland was accepted into the Baylor College of Medicine/Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Family Medicine Residency program. In 2009, she completed her MBA as well as a fellowship in Faculty Development with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. During her training, Dr. Sutherland served as chief resident.
Awards & Publications
Dr. Sutherland has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
