Dr. Carlos Gutierrez earned his medical degree in 1997 at Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011. Dr. Gutierrez has held several medical positions throughout his career, including most recently as a primary care physician at Clinicas Mi Doctor from 2011 to 2016 and at the 1960 Family Practice from 2016 to 2019.

Dr. Gutierrez enjoys playing soccer, collecting soccer jerseys, and going to movies.
Fun Facts
Dr. Gutierrez says the best advice he ever received is to “be honest always.” The most interesting place he has visited is Jamaica. His guilty pleasure is candy. When he was a kid, he dreamed of being a soccer player on his Ecuadorian soccer team, Emelec.
