Dr. Hendin earned a B.A. in Biophysics/Medical Physics from the University of California at Berkeley where he was named a Chancellor’s Scholar. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York. He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in Urology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio. Dr. Hendin completed a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery at the Scott Department of Urology, Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston. Dr. Hendin offers advice to his prospective patients: "Infertility and impotence aren’t just barriers to satisfying relationships. These conditions can be the sign of a more serious underlying medical problem, such as diabetes. Don’t let fear or embarrassment keep you from seeking help."

Dr. Hendin is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, International Society for the Study of Impotence, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and American Urologic Association. Dr. Hendin has lectured on various aspects of male fertility at annual meetings of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American Urologic Association, and the American Fertility Society.
