Dr. Margaret Wat completed her Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology at Duke University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2005. She went on to complete a dual MD/PhD program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her PhD in molecular and human genetics in 2012, and she completed her medical degree in 2014. She completed an Internal Medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine prior to completing her residency in Dermatology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in 2019. She went on to complete a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2021.

A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Wat treats patients of all ages for a broad range of dermatological conditions, including acne, rosacea, skin cancer screening and prevention, dry skin care, psoriasis, and eczema. In addition, she can identify and biopsy possible skin cancers and formulate treatment plans. Her clinical interests include general dermatology, acne, pre-cancerous growths, skin cancers such as non-melanoma skin cancers and melanoma, acne, psoriasis, and eczema.

When not in clinic, Dr. Wat enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, taking walks, jogging, and participating in a church prayer group.
